Shelf Life

Half of her is still back home
splayed on shelves
she couldn’t carry
words which were parted
a sea of worlds
left in her wake

Someday
a refrain to return to
return being the refrain
that past collection
browsed presently
remembered to reminisce

Selections shared
from shared sections
an overlapping of narratives
briefly now
once still waters
awake again
